For expectant parents and for children 0–12 months

Sholom Baby connects young families who anticipate or have recently experienced the birth or adoption of a child (newborn through 12 months of age) with Congregation Rodeph Sholom and the greater Jewish community, assisting in supporting and building social connections.

When you sign up for Sholom Baby, you will receive a gift bag filled with fun and helpful gifts as well as information on parenting, Jewish resources for families, a gift from PJ Library, a Sholom Sprouts onesie and more!

Cocktails and Conversations with Rabbi Spratt: Raising a Mensch: Nurturing Young Children’s Values

Join Rabbi Spratt for an engaging discussion focused on helping our children grow into resilient, empathetic, and curious adults. Aimed at parents of children under five, this conversation will explore core Jewish and universal values that shape moral decision-making and guide children to thrive.

Together, we’ll discuss practical strategies for modeling integrity, respect, and empathy in daily family life, empowering both you and your little one on the journey of becoming a mensch—a good person with strong character.

Singin’ Swingin’ Shabbat!

For children ages 0-4, siblings welcome • 9:00 – 11:00 AM

Begin your Saturday morning with a 25-minute sing-along filled with dancing, jumping and storytelling. Bring your appetite for bagels, kid-friendly nosh, and, of course, challah! You won’t want to miss playtime in our mini-gym and an art-based family activity themed to the Jewish calendar: paint your own mezuzah; build an edible sukkah; or decorate a tzedakah box — the fun is endless!

New transitions are easier with community! Join other new and expectant parents for brunch and light conversation at Congregation Rodeph Sholom. Children are welcome, with playtime and crafts available. Led by Rabbi Arielle Stein and Lisa Schiff.
