Sholom Sprouts is Congregation Rodeph Sholom’s home for families with children ages 0 to 4 and the grown-ups who love them! Offered in our beautiful, dedicated fifth floor space (or virtual when necessary), we welcome you into our vibrant Jewish community through Shabbat and holiday celebrations, Grown-Up & Me classes, opportunities for adult connection and more. Sholom Sprouts is open to the community – no synagogue membership is required.
About Sholom Sprouts
Our Approach
Today’s families are diverse and ever evolving. Sholom Sprouts offers innovative programming that gives the entire family opportunities to connect and experience the joy of being Jewish.
Our community serves two purposes – to expand your village and enrich your home with Jewish culture, no matter where your family is on their Jewish journey. Our classes progress from pre-natal opportunities to Grown-Up & Me classes that lead to pre-school success. Our Shabbat and holiday celebrations encourage families to embrace Jewish culture as a community. The hallmark of our experiences include song, stories, movement, art and an introduction to social justice by learning to act.
Our 5th Floor Space
Our 5th Floor space is an oasis in a bustling city recently reimagined with your family in mind. Filled with natural light, this environment invites your family to come in and play. We offer a variety of spaces that are home to the latest toys and art materials designed to keep little hands busy, active and engaged. Our classrooms feature a large collection of books that teach our kids about different families, holidays, friendship and so much more. The mini-gym (with rubberized flooring!) boasts a climbing gym (and usually a ball pit) that kids can’t resist.
The Fifth Floor Chapel
A unique space where we gather to celebrate Jewish life as a community. The Fifth Floor Chapel is designed for families, introducing our littlest learners to a spiritual and creative environment with a Torah reading table that lowers to their height. This multi-purpose space, flooded with natural light, is used for family life-cycle events and invites our children to playfully explore their place in worship.
